The Community Mural

As part of the Time Capsule Event on Father’s Day weekend, June 17th & 18th, 2023, Audrey Bean and Neville Bean created a 8’ X 4’ mural. The Mural Started as a freeform painted sketch of the Wurts Street Bridge. It was mounted on board and set up on the porch of the Clearwater Barn at the Hudson River Maritime Museum with an array of colored pencils.

In the course of the weekend, Audrey greeted visitors and welcomed them to add to the mural with signatures, drawings, messages and symbols. There are singing fish, mythical creatures, boats, a drone pilot and a fanciful hot-air ballon. The Mural was photographed and images were included in the thumb drive placed in the Time Capsule.
